  Had dinner here tonight for the third time and must say that from the beginning to end our meal was excellent.  Chips and salsa were fresh and flavorful.  My wife had the chili's Colorado that was spot on. I had the Asada burrito and it was very flavorful!  Service was very good and our Ice Tea was fresh too.  Great job El Tenampa. We'll be back.  
  I've just read a number of past reviews that seem to give this place just an average ratings.  This was our third visit in the past six months and I can say our dinner experience on this night was the best of the three.  I'm not sure if they have new management or owners but we noticed a difference in the flavor tonight.  Maybe grandma stopped by the kitchen tonight

  Dined there tonight...severely disappointed.  We use to love this place. Not so much now.  First of all,  let me say we had a nice server. She did her job very well. However,  this was one of the dirtiest places I have eaten in a long time.  The menu that we were handed was filthy.  Had to ask for a new one.  Salt and pepper shakers had dirt stains all around them. The table menu advertising the drink special was absolutely disgusting.  Greasy dirt all over it.  Walls had splashes of meals on it. It makes you wonder if the dining area has so much lack of cleaning, what does the kitchen look like where they prepare all the meals. Long gone I guess is the routine chores that a clean restaurant does on a regular basis.
  
  Also, what ever happened to the gentleman who asks you if you want fresh salsa or guacamole? Instead you get dry old chips with small dishes of complimentary dips.
  
  It is sad, because at one time I enjoyed this place.

  Unfortunately, I think that 3 stars is too generous for this local spot. We really wanted to like it but the food was pretty gross. I hate to say stuff like that but it really was unappetizing from its appearance to the flavor.
  I had the tacos rancheros... I thought it would be tacos with ranchero sauce... nope! It was tacos with tortillas that had been dipped in ranchero sauce.. so you couldn't pick them up... I had to eat tacos with a fork. The sauce was gross, it tasted sour. The tortillas were soggy. The steak was chopped up bits of tough fatty mystery meat.
  My wife had the floutas and they were so fried that they were inedible.
  My son had a quesadilla that he loved very much. So there's that I guess.
  My glassware was chipped and of course I didn't notice it until I was half way done with it... so now I'm sure (not really) that I've swallowed glass lol.
  The beverages though are very well made. So if all you want is a stiff margarita this could be your spot.
  The service was fine, they could use some attention to detail though. The men's bathroom was out of soap though and that's gross.
  Probably won't be back for food, ever. But I think I would go back for the bar.
  5 stars for bar.
  3 stars for service.
  1 Star for food.
  2 stars overall.

  To paraphrase a prior reviewer, this place is worth visiting for the service alone.  Our server Leo made us feel at home from the minute we walked in the door.  The food was presented beautifully, but the flavor was only average.  That combined with higher than average prices leads to a just average rating.

  If I could rate this no stars I would. This place was discussing!  The food was greasy and had no flavor. Any dish that had chicken in it was full of carrots and celery. No chicken in sight. Street tacos tortillas were dipped in oil and not fried and rice was dry because it probably sits under a heat lamp. Spent over 110.00 dollars and left over half the food there.  You would have a better Mexican food experience in the frozen food section of Fred Meyers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
